I watched this film yesterday for the 6th time and incidentally, someone requested for these songs today :)
So I was more than happy to add these songs to my blog. Lakshya, a very inspiring movie. Everytime I watch it, I feel like joining the army.
The film was released in 2004, starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. And, it was directed by Farhan Akhtar.

The music has been composed by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The title track is very inspiring and my favourite. :)

IMDB rating of 8.4/10, I think that figure says it all for the film. I don't need to add any spice to it. :)
This is a very special film for me, as it reminds me of my country. In a way, it reflects my own life. I wish I can visit India soon...
Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera..... really touches my soul every time I listen to it.

What's Your Rashee? is an upcoming movie directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. While the movie is based on Madhu Rye's novel Kimball Ravenswood and is slated for a release on September 25, 2009.

Yogesh Patel (Harman Baweja), a young man who has always wished for a love marriage, is told that he must find his dream girl within ten days to save his family from utter ruin. He makes a plan; he will meet one girl from each Raashee (sun sign), so that he will get twelve chances to fall in love. Two meetings per day gives him six days to meet them, three days to make a final decision and he can get married on the tenth day.

The music of the Whats your Rashi is composed by Sohail Sen and the lyrics is penned by Javed Akhtar. I only listened Jao Na and enjoyed it, hope you also like the others.

Wake Up Sid is a forthcoming romantic comedy movie, directed by debutante Ayaan Mukherjee, and scheduled to release on October 2, 2009. The movie is Mumbai-based romance about urban relationships and revolves around a good looking young guy (Ranbir Kapoor) who falls for an older and simple woman (Konkona Sen Sharma), a writer from Kolkata.

The film starts with the story of Sidharth Mehra (Ranbir Kapoor), a lazy, unmotivated slacker from Mumbai whose life undergoes a series of changes after taking his final year college exams. Sid's world is breezy, carefree, and without any true responsibilities. The most important elements in his life are his friends, his camera, his car, and his X-box 360. The plot looks cool! Lets hope this movie turns to be great.

Pritam's on a roll, after the fantastic Love Aaj Kal and New York, his new numbers are here and we are the first to listen them . Life Partner is an upcoming film which is set to be released on August 14 this year. It's directed by Rumi Jaffrey, one of the celebrated writers of Bollywood. It stars Govinda, Genelia D'Souza, Prachi Desai, Fardeen Khan and Tusshar Kapoor in lead roles. I expect a lot from this film, I has been a long time since I watched a good comedy film. I expected a lot from Kambakkht Ishq, but you might know how wrong I was. Btw, the lyrics is from Javed Akhtar and Kumaar. I hope you enjoy the songs, while writing I listened Kuke Kuke which appeared good.

Main Hoon Na featuring Gauri Khan and Shahrukh Khan is directed by Farah Khan. Hrithik Roshan was signed for the role of Lakshman, and even shot for a day. But after the success of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Farah Khan did not want an actor so popular. (She did not think this at the time of appointing??). The songs are good and Anu Malik got his 2nd Filmfare award for this movie after the one for Baazigar in 1993.

Sonu Nigam has been perfect in singing the title song 'Kal Ho Na Ho' which is indeed the best song of 2003, though I love the instrumental more. Kal Ho Naa Ho features Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. The film is directed by first-timer Nikhil Advani, while is produced and co-written by special Karan Johar. The award winning music is composed by trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. If you have not got a chance to hear it, check it out. Not only it's songs is great, the movie is also good, it gets shown from 7 Filmfare Awards that it won.

Saagar which was released in 1985 is a film directed by Ramesh Sippy. The film starred Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia, along with Kamal Hassan. I would not tell much about the movie, but the songs are great, with 'Saagar Kinare' as the best number of the album. The songs are composed by the late R. D. Burman and lyrics is from Javed Akhtar. Jodhaa-Akbar is an Indian epic film released in 2008. It is directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles. And it won quite a lot of awards for its every aspect.
Both the music composer A. R. Rahman and the lyricist Javed Akthar won filmfare awards for such beautiful songs. "Jashn-e-bahaara" is the best song of the whole lot, followed by "Azeem-o-shaan Shahenshah" and "Khwaja Mere Khwaja" is an icing on the cake. Hope you enjoy the songs.

Dil Chahta Hai is a film written and directed by then-newcomer Farhan Akhtar and released in 2001, starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia. It is set in modern-day urban Mumbai and focuses on a major period of transition in the lives of three young friends.The music is wonderful and is scored by the famous trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the lyrics is given by Javed Akhtar. The songs are awesome and its worth. I like Tanhayee the most and others are also great.

Mr. India is a science fiction superhero film released in 1987 and is directed by Shekhar Kapur. It stars Anil Kapoor in the title role, Sridevi as his romantic interest and Amrish Puri in one of his best-known roles as villain Mogambo. I recommend this movie to all. The film was the biggest hit of 1987 in India and remains a cult classic. The film was known for several of its lines and songs, including Sridevi's Miss Hawa Hawai performance, and Amrish Puri's quote "Mogambo Khush hua" , which is one of the most famous quotes of Bollywood and has become synonymous with Puri. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the lyrics is by Javed Akhtar. I hope you enjoy it.

Veer-Zaara was released in 2004 and was directed by Yash Chopra. The movie stars Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji in the leading roles, with Kirron Kher, Divya Dutta and Anupam Kher in supporting roles. Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini make special appearances in the film. The dialogues were written by Aditya Chopra.
The music of the film, based on old compositions by the late Madan Mohan with lyrics by Javed Akhtar, is stunning. The famous playback singer Lata Mangeshkar sang most of the songs. She used to sing with Madan Mohan, so there was a special poignancy to her contributions.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra has always provided us with excellent soundtracks for his films. His period saga 1942- A Love Story was one of Rahul Dev Burman’s last soundtracks and indeed he left the industry with a lot to remember. This drama featured the likes of Anil Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, and Jackie Shroff. Clearly such a powerful cast would require such excellent music. The film was a musical hit and was released some time after the death of the music director, Rahul Dev Burman. The film received five Filmfare Awards. The magnificient lyrics is from Javed Akhtar.
